Home Air Cleaners

March 31st, 2008

These are the air cleaners used for reducing indoor pollutants (indoor here refers to home). These air cleaners are especially helpful for those who suffer from asthma, hay fever or other allergies. Believe it or not, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, the air inside our homes is 10 times more polluted than the air outside! The reason for this is that our homes are so poorly ventilated that airborne pollutants such as pollen, mold, dust, cigarette smoke, and pet dander can easily accumulate.

Many would rather get a portable air purifier instead of a home air cleaner (one that links into your existing central heating and cooling system to provide clean air to your whole house) simply because of its low cost. However, the long-term cost of maintaining a portable air purifier, and its effectiveness, have slowly but surely changed the preferences of many potential buyers, and converted the existing users.

There are some essential points that buyers should keep in mind about home air cleaners: home cleaners are less noisy; hence, they give the peace and quiet that every home should enjoy. They are also normally hidden out of sight in the home; thus there will be no unsightly devices in view of your family and friends. They clean the entire home, and not just one portion of the house. Home air cleaners only require maintenance once a year.

Air cleaners have become an essential part of our lives, be they in the work environment or in our homes. We cannot deny that our daily lives are being compromised by many day-to-day activities, and something as natural as breathing has also become hazardous to our lives. Air cleaners help us to preserve the quality of our lives and reduce the risk of many diseases and health hazards.

Screen Printing

March 31st, 2008

Everywhere around logos, designs and art shows up and comes out of the woodwork using a modernized version of an older technology. Screen printing is a helpful way to expose a company name and/or logo to the public. Screen printing originally started out using silk as a medium but has since moved on to using stretched porous, finely woven nylon or polyester fabrics, with carefully stenciled designs, and delightful creations take form and come to life. From many of Andy Warhol’s famous works to such commonly used items as T-shirts and hats the practice of stretching a fabric and laying out a non-permeable material to cover areas of the fabric to be unaffected by dyes has created influential and marketable works of art. This inexpensive form of advertising creates a wide range of possibilities for a company to establish itself in the market, or for an already established company to gain great recognition.

With a great flexibility and range of uses across different platforms and materials, screen printing has become a widely accepted form of pseudo-media. With uses varying from textiles, ceramics, metal, wood, paper, glass, and plastic, there is not much screen printing cannot accomplish. It remains apparent that screen printing is evident in all walks of life. It is impossible to walk down the street and not see hundreds of screen printed items on a daily basis. Everything from soda bottles, to T-shirts, to coffee cups, and cars are all screen printed. With such a wide array of uses, screen printing also has many different techniques for being accomplished.

The most common for of screen printing is known as photographic emulsion. Simply put, photographic emulsion is a process whereby a photosensitive substance is hardened and subjected to ultraviolet light, using the desired stenciled design, the monochromatic design is transferred onto the vehicle such as the ones listed above (textiles, ceramics, metal, wood, paper, glass, and plastic). The process is completed by rinsing away the excess emulsion that was not hardened by the light in either water, or solvent. In the end, it leaves only the desired screen printed image on the medium. Screen printing has grown into great popularity to brand our everyday household items, and familiarize us with famous commercial brands as well.

Every time we put on a T-shirt or use a coffee mug, we are using a product of screen printing, which has brought artwork and advertising to the masses. Banners, logos, graphics, and art have all been created and replicated countless times as a result of this revised technology. Since the development of screen printing and the evolution away from silk, the technology has improved to include photographic printing processes to create works of art, namely those of Andy Warhol (mentioned above). This technology continues to bring familiar household names into our lives and beautiful works of art into our hearts. Although using a harsh and abrasive chemical process, the end result is one to warm the hearts and minds of past generations and futures generations of innovators.

Our Printing Directory is dedicated to the printing industry. Find more information and other printing topics on our Screen Printing resource page.

How to Create a Torrent of Low Cost/ No Cost Leads through the Front Door of Your Business!

March 31st, 2008

Wouldn’t it be just fantastic if in the first quarter of this year you acquired a new sales force for your business? Now I’m not just talking about 1 or 2 new people, I’m talking about hundreds or even thousands of new sales people all out there in the market place spreading the word and selling you and your business. Mobilising an entire army of raving fans all bought into you and your business and the difference you make in the market place.

What impact would this new sales force have on the growth of your business? Could this be the break through your looking for in to order hit double or even triple digit growth this year?

A pipe dream or a reality?

Well actually it could be a reality - I’ve seen it done many times with our Clients; let me tell you how?

Firstly it requires you to take a leap of faith for a moment and think differently about your business. You’ve spent a great deal of time, effort and money in attracting and building the loyalty from your existing customers and clients - True?

Those customers and clients have bought you - they’ve bought your business brand and as long as you’re delivering on the promise and engaging in the appropriate retention strategies then they’ll remain loyal to you forever! (We’ll talk about retention strategies in a future issue of the Business Accelerator Ezine coming soon).

These loyal clients are the ‘ideal profile’ of client for your business. They;

STAY! SAY! And PAY!

- Stay for as long as possible

- Say great things about you

- Pay on time…every time!

Now it’s the “SAY great things” part that I want to talk with you about today. Because in saying great things about you - you can create a torrent of referrals through the front door of your business!

By just being pro active v re active, by thinking about this strategy from a different prospective you can turn your clients into your Silent Sales Force!

Think about it for a moment; there already bought into you and your business, there passionate about what you do and how you do it, there loyal, talk about you and your business with enthusiasm, understand your products & services probably better than some of your own people because they are actually using them! WOW aren’t these the traits you’d look for in recruiting a new sales person. And perhaps the sting in the tail;

As they are your ‘ideal profile’ of client who do they shake and move with both professionally and personally? Yes - other like minded individuals similar to them, and most importantly for you similar to the profile of clients you want to attract to your business and… FAST!

Now I’m not just talking about referral capture here on an adhoc basis - I’m talking about a Systematised Referral Process where you go back to the well on a regular basis and have a structured process.

Let’s look at the numbers for a moment by taking a generic model; our ABC Limited or as I prefer to say ‘UnLimited’ - the only limiting factor being our mindset about what we can and cant achieve in our businesses.

Imagine in our ABC business we have 500 Customers. Taking the 80/20 rule - the top 20% are the ‘ideal profile’ of client. So we focus on the top 100 Clients as our Silent Sales force.

On average we pick up just one referral from each of those clients (I say on average as I have a number of thoughts on the number of referrals we should ask for; a discussion for another day) that would now give us 100 prospects.

Now I don’t know what your conversion rates are in your business at the moment. What I do know however, and I’m sure you’d agree is that referral business converts at a higher rate than any other form of lead generation activity.

So - in this example I’m going to work on a conversion of 1:10 (I’d probably expect it to be more like 1:5) this would equate to 10 new clients from your new sales force.

Now - if we systematised the process and went back to the well on a quarterly basis this would generate 400 new prospects; at our conversion rate of only 1: 10 = 40 new clients per year!!!! How much would this be worth to your business?

I’m sure you could run your real numbers in terms of number of customers and conversion rates through the formula I’ve used above, and calculate precisely what impact this strategy would have on the growth of your business?

So there you have it! How to create a torrent of Low Cost/ No Cost Leads through the front door of your business and turn your key clients and customers into your Silent Sales Force!

Bodybuilding and Exercise - The Ten Commandments in Making of a Champion!

March 31st, 2008

1. Fill your life up with different hobbies! - Bodybuilding Champions realize
working out is not everything there is in life. Your life does not center on the gym.
Experience other activities. Get a hobby; join a group; do outdoor activities in order
to stay mentally strong. One day you will realize, your identity is not built on the
sport of bodybuilding.

2. Leave your ego at the door! - Bodybuilding Champions focus on the process
and not on themselves. Your life should not center on you and you alone. True
Champions in any sport know that it is what the sport gives to your heart that
matters most, not the image you want to project.

3. Never forget where you come from! - Bodybuilding Champions never forget
what the sport has taught them, where they have been or who has helped them
along the way. Bodybuilding and life share the same principles: what you gain inside
is more valuable than anything physical.

4. More is not better! - Bodybuilding Champions work smarter not harder.
Efficiency and knowledge is the key to becoming a true champion. Less effort and
more results usually work best. Be smart in your training and practice a little
common sense when needing to rest.

5. Get a mentor- Bodybuilding Champions are never afraid to ask for help.
Champs know that knowledge is power. Learn from others, never be afraid of
change, and champion yourself after as many people as you can.

6. Feed the Spirit! Bodybuilding Champions understand the mind is their biggest
competitor and the heart is their biggest asset. If you kill your spirit or passion for
the sport, you have lost the main purpose for your efforts.

7. Pay your dues and do not cheat by taking steroids - Bodybuilding Champions
SHOULD do it the right way, without drugs! You can never replace hard work, and
hard work always pays off. Others may not know you are cheating, but at the end of
the day you do. What matters most to you?

8. Teach others what you have learned - Bodybuilding Champions help others
gain knowledge. The best champions are those who share the wealth, teach others
and inspire hearts. Your success is only as strong as your ability to share what you
have learned.

9. Be honest in all you do - Bodybuilding Champions know when to stop. No
matter how difficult it may be on the ego, always be true to self and to others.
Denying reality robs the heart of the happiness of life. Champions compete in their
sport for the love of game, not for the chance to defy the odds of life.

10. Be you and no one else- Bodybuilding Champions do not pretend to be
someone they are not. Hiding behind your exterior is the surest way to a lonely,
unhappy life. True champions have no needs to pretend. GREATNESS NEEDS NO
EXPLANATION!

To Settle or Not to Settle: A Case Dilemma

March 31st, 2008

A dilemma besetting many cases is the question whether to settle or not. A practical assessment of your position with the aid of a trusted lawyer will provide the answer.

It is never easy to make a decision like settling a case. Many factors come into play but a thing to be remembered is that choosing to settle is based on calculated risks and chances of winning litigation.

If you find yourself in a trial, you or your opponent may choose to offer the other party to settle the case before it reaches court. This discussion of the case is “without prejudice” meaning that you are not bound by any agreement whatsoever if you change your mind prior to receiving the money or before the court is informed of your agreement.

Choosing to settle a case may well be beneficial to you as it can save you a great deal of money and time. Not including the fact that opting to pursue the case may prove to be your own undoing. There is the risk of a prolonged trial or even loss and the cost it will entail may not be the best for you. Indeed it may sound unfair but strains on your personal relationships as well as on your business can be avoided if you choose to settle.

Sometimes, settling can be very difficult. Even if the parties agree about who was at fault in a case, the case may not settle due to a dispute over the amount of damages sustained by the plaintiff. Cases often proceed to trial on the sole issue of damages. Thus, most lawyers will work the case as if it will proceed to trial and hope that their work will enlighten the other side about the need to settle the case. If the case does not settle, that lawyer is then ultimately prepared to try a good case with the best potential for a favorable outcome.

To arrive at a final decision, it is best to enlist the aid of a lawyer who is familiar with the issues attached to making settlements. An experienced attorney can help you be familiar with the workings of settling. Plus, he can give you the most that you can get out of your settlement. The law can be very complex and having a lawyer to guide to step by step can be a very enlightening experience.

An Internet Business Formula of Success

March 30th, 2008

Ever since I was in elementary school my favorite subject has always been Mathematics. I always loved how on tests and assignments your answers were either right or they were wrong. I hated the subjectiveness of my other classes like English and Geography, especially when I would lose marks for things that I didn’t think were important!

With this mathematical mindset I also like finding things that are able to be duplicated. One thing that I have found that can usually be duplicated is success. If you can find somebody that is successful with their Internet business and find out everything that they do, and then do it, you will be able to have success as well!

It is with this notion that I put together a simple “Internet Business Formula” that lays out exactly what you can do to start and succeed in your own Internet business.

But remember, if you leave out steps in a formula you usually get the wrong answer in the end. The same goes for this formula: If you follow it, you will have success. If you leave parts out, you’ll probably end up being just where you are right now, and no further.

The Internet Business Formula.

Here are the simple steps to the Internet Business Formula:

1. Find a niche market.

2. Build a simple website that provides free content (articles, tips, tricks, etc.).

3. Build a newsletter list.

4. Publish more free content to your list and to the website.

5. After you have built up enough trust, ask your list what product they want.

6. Build the product, OR find similar ones that have high value that somebody else has made.

7. Sell it to them.

8. Go back to #4.

Pretty simple, isn’t it? In fact, it is so simple that you might be tempted to leave out parts (like step #3 or #4). You may say to yourself: “I don’t need a newsletter list; I’ll just generate a ton of traffic to my website and make money from ads!”

Big mistake.

In fact, if you make this mistake then you are probably losing out on about 90% of the revenue that your website could make.

The problem that most people have is in Step #1 - finding a niche market that will make them money. Most make the mistake of generalizing what they want to do to the point where visitors can’t really tell what their website is about.

Another mistake that is often made is leaving out the newsletter. I do admit, it takes a lot of work to maintain a newsletter list, even one that you only email twice a month. But in the long run this will be your main money-maker.

The other great thing about having a newsletter list is that your readers will tell you what content to build. Rather than guessing at what everybody wants you can simply ask them. Most readers are thrilled to give you a suggestion and then see you write an article that addresses that issue, especially if you solve that issue. It is a great way to build a solid relationship with them.

Once you have a good newsletter list established and have delivered a ton of good content to them, you can start thinking about making a product that you can sell. Whether it’s an e-book, a membership, a service, or an actual physical product, having a newsletter list will make your job easier.

Why? It is simply because you can ask your list what they would want to buy from you! It is a tactic that is largely underused in the Internet marketing world, and yet probably the most effective.

Of course, adding more and more quality, useful content should always be a priority. That is why people came in the first place, so if you want them to stick around, keep delivering!

In the end this formula will guarantee you success if you are willing to put the time and effort into it.
