Beauty Secrets Don’t Only Hide In A Bottle–They Can Also Be Found In Our Refrigerator!

January 19th, 2009

Thanks to technological advances, experts in dermatology have been able to observe the effect that our diet has on our skin’s texture and appearance.

Many recent studies in dermatology confirm that the most significant factor in skincare does not only depend on the cosmetics that we apply (which, of course, do make a difference) but also largely on our diet.

So…which diet should we implement to look great?

WATER Our body is 70 percent water; therefore, it’s logical that any lack of sufficient water intake will affect our appearance.

That’s why drinking water is undoubtedly the easiest and most efficient way of preventing the signs of aging, maintaining the skin smooth and the body healthy.

HOW DOES WATER AFFECT OUR SKIN? Water eliminates the toxins in our body that are daily stored up through contact with pollutants, tobacco smoke, stress and other sources of free radical formation. Concretely, free radicals are the principal cause of skin diseases and premature aging.

Water not only gives skin a more youthful appearance but also eliminates all of these elements, which cause the appearance of acne. Acne is formed by the accumulation of bacteria, oil, dead skin and dirt on the skin. Even for those with oily skin and problems with acne, water is needed to wash away both internal and external impurities.

Additionally, water helps vitamins and nutrients to easily flow throughout the body. In particular, it collaborates with all of the body’s organs to distribute vitamins E, C and B12, which help maintain the skin smooth and young.

HOW MUCH WATER DO I NEED TO DRINK DAILY? Normally it’s recommended that a person drink at least a liter and a half of water, although many dermatologists recommend increasing the dose to two or three daily liters.

WHEN IS IT ESSENTIAL TO DRINK WATER? It’s very important to drink and recuperate lost fluid after exercising or sunbathing. Don’t forget that water is good not only for your organism but also for your outward appearance.

WATER INSIDE AND WATER OUTSIDE When cleansing facial skin or the body, it’s best that the water be lukewarm. Very hot water can dry out the skin excessively, but at an adequate temperature, its cleansing power is enormous.

BEAUTY TRICK Drink water in the morning; it will help eliminate a puffy or swollen face.

Who would have thought that water would end up being one of the most relevant beauty secrets in the new millennium?

Working Time Management For Mom’s

January 18th, 2009

When you walk in the door, you see a stack of papers floating around your desk, and when you go home, just as at the office, you can’t find those important papers you need so desperately to stay out of trouble or make an excuse.

When you come home at night, you and your spouse argue, and your children ignore you because you just aren’t spending family time with some of the important people in your life.

Does this sound familiar?

Have you ever wondered why?

Well, you are not managing your time accordingly so that you reap benefits and the ones you love are happy. You are not organized, so therefore how the heck can you find those important documents?

Moms already have a big responsibility and we neglect to manage our times, our responsibilities turn to chaos.

Let’s face it: it is never easy to stay organized when we have busy work schedules and a family to attend to, as well as other responsibilities.

The traditional individuals often store files in a filing cabinet, and clean their room and desk once every week. However, there are people out there that are spontaneous. Some of us even store documents so they are out of sight and soon find those documents are out of mind, until someone calls their attention to the papers.

The key to success moms is getting your priorities straight. If you shop for groceries once per week, you can cut back time by buying enough to last longer, so that grocery shopping isn’t part of your weekly plan.

The extra hour or more that you spend at the supermarket can be spent on quality time with the family. This is only one solution to managing your time, but it is certainly a start. In addition, you can make up a list of your duties, starting with the most important tasks first, and working through the list one at a time. I found this to be a great solution for managing time, since when you work hard to complete one task, the rests fall into place with ease.

If you spend an hour or even one half hour in the mirror, it is probably because you are not feeling good about your self. It takes approximately five minutes to put make-up on, and to stand in the mirror longer is only taking up time. Hair is also important since our person in general sets an impression. If you spend longer time than needed doing your hair, try finding nice looking hairstyles that are less complicated to style. This is also a great process of the time management solution. Clothing should also be limited but appropriate for whatever it is that you doing and it should not take less than a couple of minutes to get dressed.

Unless you are a model, or actress, overdressing is not appropriate in most cases for every day life situations. If you are spending extra time preparing meals, you might want to consider recipes that are quick and healthy to manage your time mom.

Self-esteem Builds Female Athletes

January 16th, 2009

Beads of sweat roll down her forehead as she rubs a very prominent muscle in her calve. Her breathing is deep and hard but steady as regains her focus to another place in order to numb the pain. She reaches into a place in her mind where she has stored an energy that only a dedicated athlete has come to know. An energy that will take her that extra distance to her finish mark.

This is a female athlete, a women that is not only strong, willful, and dedicated but has invested most of her youth and/or adulthood to get to this height of excellence. This women is a competitive professional athlete. In the world of men’s sports, these women have had to climb mountains and jump very high hurtles to get even a small fraction of respect as competitive, serious athletes.

These women are exemplary in there show of positive self-esteem. A positive self-esteem has given them strength to never give up on their dream. Their dream of becoming a true world champion female in the sports world. Through their years of excruciating training they have learned a few very important positive characteristics such as:

-setting goals

achieving a dream that for many become unreachable
learning to perform under pressure
understanding the meaning of a team player
learning how to earn and achieve through hard work
how to accept failure and appreciate succession.

Other very positive things come out of women making sports a big part of their lives.

females in high school do not have time to get pregnant
as little as four hours per week of physical exercise helps to reduce a teenagers risk of breast cancer by up to 60%. Breast cancer effects 1out of every 8 American females.
it has also helped to reduce the amount of females suffering from osteoporosis(brittle bones).
females engaging in sports are less likely to experience depression.
Female athletes are also very much more positive in regards to their body image, again a show of positive self-esteem. They are trained early in life to respect their health and nurture their psychological well-being. These character traits are a must in achieving the limits that are needed to compete as a professional athlete. These women have to be on the top of their game, so to speak.

With that in their focus they glow with positive self-esteem and confidence. They also need all of these positive attributes to get them where they want to be in regards to their workplace. About 80% of women that are in high executive positions were athletes during certain periods of their lives. This is a good thing. Through their training and disciplined lifestyles, they have succeeded not only in sports, but also in their careers. These female athletes also made a mark in history and continue to do so, against all odds.

Unfortunately as in any thing we deal with in life, there is the reality of abuse and stereotyping. Many woman fear the label of being called a lesbian, or fear that they would come into contact with lesbians in the sports world. Sexual harassment, verbal abuse, emotional abuse and even physical abuse are also very common negative realities in the sports world. We need to shout out as loud as we can to get rulings to protect all athletes in the sports world.

To make life even more unfair, after they have trained and suffered much pain to win many championships and meet the challenges that come with being an athlete, they continue to battle nonsensical enemies such as the media. Oh yes, our great media strikes yet again. They have taken pictures of female athletes and turned them into sexual objects. Sporting them in magazines, scantily clothed as if they were posing for a pornographic magazine. They have robbed them of their achievements as serious female athletes. They have offered them up as sacrificial pieces of meat to satisfy the male appetite. They rarely if ever show the reality of the female athlete. Rarely if ever do you find a picture of a disabled athlete sporting the front of a magazine, but there you have it, even in the sports magazines they have to use sex to sell. They cannot even depend on their own merit anymore. In fact the media continually shows just how cheap they can be. They show no respect for the reality of people anymore. The media has totally blinded the world as to what a competitive female athlete is all about.

The female athlete is all about:

strength
skill
power
ability to achieve a goal
pure self-discipline
desire to achieve excellence
determination to win
the drive to push against against all odds
Women of the sports world, I commend you for your courage and ability to reach your destination. You show all the women of the world today that we can do it. You show us how very important it is to have a positive self-esteem. You show us professional female athletes at their best. For that, I thank you!

“Desire is the most important factor in the success of any athlete”

Female Infertility

January 15th, 2009

Infertility is a situation faced by many couples worldwide when they are unable to conceive. According to a survey in America, around 10% of couples bear the brunt of infertility. Usually when a couple is not able to conceive, the female partner is generally blamed, but the reality is that both the partners are equally responsible. Here we discuss female infertility which accounts for 60% of the cases across the globe.

Causes of Infertility

* Age is one of the main causes of female infertility. Women above the age of 35 have more chances of being affected by infertility because of higher rate if chromosomal changes occurring in the body.

* Fat accumulated in a woman’s body may also lead to cause of infertility. Either too low weight or excessive weight can affect the ability to conceive caused by irregular estrogen balance in the body.

* Irregular menstrual cycles, eating disorders, smoking, drinking, caffeine, lifestyle factors, exposure to high temperatures, toxic chemicals may also lead to this cause.

* Pelvic inflammatory disease that affects the reproductive system of a woman causing infection in the fallopian tubes. Some develop antibodies to sperm, which cause infertility.

* Ovulation problems are caused due to hormonal disorders and are one of the major reasons accounting for around one third of the cases.

* Endometriosis is a disorder when fragments of the endometrial lining are implanted in other areas of the pelvis leading to cysts that can result in infertility in women.

* Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a major cause of infertility in women characterized by high levels of male hormones - androgen and testosterone

Prevention

Some of the medical treatments that women can undergo are:

* Fertility Drugs: In this, a woman has to inject a special drug to cause ovulation.

* Intrauterine insemination: The sperms are directly injected into the woman’s uterus.

* In vitro fertilization: The egg is fertilized with the sperm in a lab and the fertilized embryo is implanted into the uterus.

* Donor eggs: In women who cannot produce viable eggs, eggs from another woman’s ovaries are fertilized by the man and then transferred to the infertile woman’s uterus.

Infertility is a tough situation for women. Many of them conclude that they can’t conceive, but that is not true. At times it takes long to conceive and even if then one is not able to, and then these medical aids are there to help one out of these difficult situations.

Menopause and Loss of Libido

January 14th, 2009

As reported by numerous females, menopause, the final stage in the cycle of female menstruation, contributes to a significant loss of libido. One of the more common complaints from women (and their partners) is the loss of sexual desire and drive.

This absence disrupts the sexual lives of countless couples, and therapy is often sought after as an answer to this problem. In the following paragraphs, we will discuss causes, external factors such as physical pain that prevents sexual intercourse, solutions for restoring estrogens, and life situations menopausal women face that contribute to their hormonal causes for libido failure (i.e. body image.)

The period before menopause is known as the pre- or perimenopause period when some loss of libido occurs. The hormone called progesterone is responsible for this downfall and is key to causing a resulting hormonal imbalance. Remember, the job of hormones is to regulate certain processes in the body.

An insufficiency in hormones disrupts this balance and creates problems. Loss of libido is not restricted to having a lack of sexual desire. Vaginal dryness and discomfort can force women to avoid having sex altogether. Creams and gels are used to combat this problem. The emotional changes associated with menopause can also affect sexual desires, as women often feel overly aggressive, irritable, and sometimes depressed - mental conditions that require peace time instead of ‘hot and heaviness.

Estrogen is the primary sex hormone in a woman. As discussed earlier, a loss of estrogen leads to a loss of sexual desire. Remember, women also produce testosterone (in low levels), and testosterone is also responsible for promoting sexual drive. Lack of energy and depression occur because of these decreased levels, plummeting libido to close to non-existent.

In order to restore libido, hormone therapy is highly recommended. Doctors can prescribe testosterone in a liquid form to keep you alert and increase what you’ve lost. There are gels and creams (such as Alura) designed to directly stimulate the clitoris. These creams often leave you with a tingling feeling that can help you achieve multiple orgasms.

There are over the counter medications out there that combat loss of libido. There are progesterone creams with bio-synthetic qualities that restore safe amounts of progesterone in the body to increase sex drive. There is also something called Phytoestrogen Cream that help balance the levels of available amounts of estrogen in the body and provide homeostasis when there are plummeting estrogen levels.

There are other things that affect menopausal women’s’ level of libido. Not all women have the same levels of sexual drive. For example, 65-year-old women who have already undergone menopause are more likely to have less sexual desire than 49 year old women who has just finished the final stages of their menstruation.. However, there are products available that increase female sexual sensation in women such as Zalestra Feminine Arousal Fluid.

Menopause also affects the way women look at themselves in terms of body. Distorted views on body shape during menopause, when thought is greatly affected, can also decrease the desire for sex. If a woman is taking medicine for depression during this period, her libido can increase more than someone off the drug. Outside factors such as work-related stress, can also determine libido levels in a woman and usually require a shift in perspective to regain balance. In a lot of ways, menopause is a reshaping of who we are and what we want out of life.

When You Pray

January 12th, 2009

When You Pray

If you are going to pray for something, why would you worry about it after you’ve prayed for it? Many people will pray and ask for certain things that they think are needed in their lives. When what they have prayed for haven’t yet manifested itself, some believe that “GOD” isn’t listening to us. The thing is……..if it is not in “HIS” will for you to have that in which you have prayed for, you will not get it. You must refocus your prayer.

I am not a religious person trying to push off “the art of praying” on anyone. So many people seem to think that “If I get on my knees and pray real hard, the lord will hear me.” That’s not the way that prayer works. Help is given to those who helps themselves. You can’t pray for something and then just sit on your butt waiting for it to fall from the sky.

You may have prayed a specific prayer and asked to receive a certain “prayer request” within a certain time limit. “HE” doesn’t work that way. When “HE” blesses you, it is on time and at the right time. Not when you want it. “HE” knows what you need before you even ask “HIM.” So why would “HE” be late. Never!

“Be careful what you pray for because you just might get it” is a saying many of our grandparents have preached to us. If you are going to pray for something, be sure that is what you want, because if you get it, what will you really do with it? Sometimes we are tested just to see how much we really can handle.

If you are going to pray…don’t worry. If you are going to worry…don’t pray. It’s that simple.

Our Moral Obligation to Newcomers to Photography

January 11th, 2009

It is easy for the newcomer to photography to feel a little intimidated when thinking about getting a camera. There is such an array of models to choose from and such a lot of information available about each camera. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of techno-babble talk which can scare the living daylights out of even a hardened enthusiast.

Unfortunately, photographers themselves do not help the cause sometimes. Scaring off novices with complex jargon and undecipherable chatter can only make it more difficult to attract newcomers and these latter people are the ones that can make the hobby even more interesting and widely available.

Luckily, digital cameras are simple to use. The complexity of the instruction manual is tempered by the facts that (a) nobody reads them and (b) you can take a decent picture without ever opening it. The beauty of the instruction manual is not helping someone to use the camera in the first place, but by encouraging them to advance themselves once the basics have been mastered.

There is a moral obligation on all of us to ensure that the rapid progress in photography over recent years doesn’t backfire to the extent that novices are overawed by the prospect of joining in. It is fortunate that commercial pressures are such that good and trustworthy cameras are targeted to novices as well as the more experienced.

TIPS ON CHOOSING COOL FALL FASHIONS YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO KNOW

January 10th, 2009

Autumn is a great time of the year when your summer wardrobe must be swapped out for warmer fashions. The crisp feel of the air is the perfect sign that it is time to break out your cozy sweaters and warm pants. Many people feel fall is simply the time between super summer fashions and steamy winter wear, but it is much, much more! Think of fall as its own season and be sure to choose a wardrobe that best suits the cool air, falling leaves, and shorter nights. The entire palate of fall colors is superb, from oranges and rusts to golds, browns, greens, and burgundies. These fantastic tones are sure to fit any skin tone, so start planning your fall wardrobe today!

If you find your budget is far shorter than your clothing needs, look to create a fall wardrobe from your preexisting summer and winter wear. Using the clothing that is already in your closet can produce a fantastic fall wardrobe that only requires a few key pieces. Depending on the climate in your neck of the woods also depends on your needs for a fall wardrobe. If you enjoy sunshine and warm weather for fall, then cords, jackets, and sweaters are not a reasonable choice. However, if your falls turn wet and cool quickly, start planning out your fall wardrobe immediately so that you have something suitable to wear when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

One necessary item for your fall fashion is a super jacket. Jackets and blazers are all the rage this season, as is the whole layering effect. Choose a jacket or blazer made from a traditional fall material in a color that is suitable to the season and the rest of the items in your collection. One great example is a luxurious brown corduroy blazer that will work at the office or on the town. Also, consider investing in a skinny scarf, another popular it item this season. The scarf is more of a burst of color and pattern instead of a muffler, but it may become useful when the wind picks up!

Another fall must have item is a fantastic pair of boots. This season, cowboy boots and other western inspired footwear is especially popular, so choose a pair to wear with your favorite jeans or that great skirt. Also, don’t forget to find a perfect fall bag! Slouch bags are back again this season, so check out one for your wardrobe.

Online Sports Gambling Keeps Bettors at Their PC’s

January 9th, 2009

free sports bet money

Legions of bettors may have learned of the phrase “offshore sports betting”, but some are not completely clear on what that means. An overseas gaming web site primarily works outside the rules of any specific state but alternatively it can mean an internet based betting web site that has its servers inside a nation in which online sports gambling is not presently illegitimate. In a nutshell then, it can be defined as a gambling facility running outside the area of the customer. Online sports wagering webpages are mostly regulated via 3 councils. These establishments are OSGA (the Offshore Gaming Association), IGC (Interactive Gaming Council) and finally the Fidelity Trust Gaming Association FTGA.

The OSGA is an autonomous “watch-dog” institute that currently regulates the modern overseas gambling trade, they endeavor to also deliver sports gambling lovers the means to swiftly distinguish honorable internet sites to play games of chance with. It labors to look after the concerns of bettors, also they don’t demand any association costs. The association is a proficient not to mention neutral third party organisation that manifests unprejudiced opinions, founded around your comments, unprejudiced inquiry, phone chats, insider advice and in addition dispenses inside gossip.

The Interactive Gaming Council are a nonprofit agency. The administration was designed to allow a forum for worried people to discuss questions and to improve relevant concerns in the multinational online gaming industry, in an effort to establish upright and steadfast commercial precepts and practices that improve consumer confidence in internet gaming products and benefits, and in addition to help as the gambling industry’s global procedure guardian and in addition it provides an information hub.

The IGC have built up a name for advocating safety, integrity and also credibility thanks to the principles it presents, and in addition its allure to honest sites. The IGC regularises overseas sports gambling through promoting an original 10 step operating code and bills sports gambling sites a license fee to show their logo. Unsatisfied customers can moreover give an account of their disputes to the Interactive Gaming Council.

The Fidelity Trust Gaming Association was established in order to present a standard which will upgrade the transactions of networked sports gaming sites. The agency think that through associating exclusively with companies of honorable reputation, they are able to mold a coalition of the most sportsmanlike and most efficient online gambling operations worldwide.

There are councils who watch the procedures of machine-accessible sports gambling and which should work to take the edge off a few of the apprehensions felt by many betters. World wide web based sports gaming sites are nowadays absolutely safe, beacuse personal data should not be needed and the remuneration and the betting odds are equivalent to a normal Vegas-type stake. These websites reduce travel time, but keep the ethos of a Vegas gaming site, but nowadays you are in a position to play in your home.

How to Remove Stretch Marks

January 9th, 2009

If we had the answer to this one, we’d all be millionaires. But we don’t. Because once you have them, stretch marks are forever, although with time, they usually do fade.

Stretch marks on your skin, are caused by overextension of the collagen, which is the fiber under the skin. This can be caused by pregnancy, excessive weight gain, obesity, and even body builders who have “pumped up” their muscles may experience them.

As the fiber tears, you may see a thin red line that eventually turns white as it heals. Technically speaking, this is scar tissue, in such thin and hard to handle layers, that it would be impossible to remove through surgery, not to mention extremely invasive given the network of lines that many pregnant women develop on their hips, stomach and buttocks.

Laser surgery is being touted at the newest method for removal. It is a very precise science that may remove some of the marks, but cannot repair the damaged fibers.

As is often the case with many things, prevention is better than looking for a cure that isn’t there. Avoid excessive weight gains, and when pregnant, continue to exercise during the pregnancy and afterwards, to tighten up skin fibers. While coco butter based creams are often pushed as a cure, the most they can do for you is to soften the skin, which will keep your skin more supple, but won’t remove stretch marks. Another tip is to keep yourself well hydrated, since dry skin has less flexible tissue, making it more prone to the tears.
