Visiting Your Past To Claim Your Future

Are you wondering why you just can’t seem to live up to your full potential? Do you often wonder what’s behind the fear that continues to hold you back from accomplishing all of your goals. Do you find yourself making negative remarks about other women or even comparing yourself to other women, resulting in you feeling inferior to them. Haven’t you ever wondered what’s behind all those feelings? Somewhere along the way you lost track of who you were and by measuring yourself to these other women and what they have, it is continuing to harm you rather than help you. It is damaging your self-esteem and your self-confidence. You are looking for an identity and belittling other women is certainly not the way to find one. You may need to visit your past to find your true self. The answer may be there.

As painful as it may be sometimes to revisit bad memories in our pasts, it’s the only way to move forward from it. If you suppress the memories, they will continue to have a negative impact over you causing you to self-sabotage. You may not even know what it is that’s plaguing your mind, but you need to surely find out. Visit your past by sitting quietly and thinking. May be you were teased a lot growing up, or your family didn’t show you a lot of affection. Whatever your situation, it has carried over into the present moment causing stunted growth on your future. Sit and deal with your past now, so you can move on to a fulfilling and satisfying life.

You are not your past; however, you past contributed to parts of who you are today. You can’t change your past, but you can change you. Stop living in the past and wondering if people are judging you for things that happened in your past. No one person is better than the other. We all have skeletons in our closets and have to answer to a higher power and it’s not the next door neighbors, family members, friends, etc.

Do not allow your past to control you. You will control your past by visiting the problems in your past that’s holding you back, then leaving your problems in the past, and moving towards a bright future. You are not your past!

Lab-Created Diamonds - Simulated Diamonds And Manufactured Diamonds Review

March 4th, 2009

There has been a great deal discussion about lab-created diamonds. Along with that talk, there is much misinformation and perplexity. The jewelry lover, who is interested in realizing the huge savings and aesthetic beauty that simulated diamonds offer, is often bewildered by the manufactured diamond industry jargon and available options. This article will categorically break it down in easy-to-understand terms so that anyone can make an intelligent decision when choosing a simulated diamond.

GEM MATERIALS: 99% of all lab-created diamonds sold worldwide are polycrystalline on a molecular level. The differences are fundamentally in the technical aspects of manufacturing, cutting, and polishing. Think of it this way–all coffeemakers are made of plastic, steel, and glass, the differences are how these materials are designed and implemented. Higher quality coffeemakers make a better tasting cup of coffee. Higher quality manufactured diamonds are in line with mined diamonds.

QUALITY VARIANCES: It seems like grade variations are made out to be a more complex lab-created diamond issue then it really is. Once boiled down, there are three primary grades of simulated diamonds–high, medium, and low. For the jewelry shopper it should be noted that the quality of setting goes hand-in-hand with the quality of the gemstone. Those that sell manufactured diamond jewelry off point-of-purchase displays in the costume jewelry sections of discount stores use low quality or scrap stones that are not gem quality, and have disco ball or murky look. Those that sell manufactured diamond jewelry on the TV shopping channels–which is generally with a sterling silver or a micro-thin layer of gold plated over silver (Vermeil [pronounced ver-may]) settings–use medium quality stones not of gem quality. Those that sell solid 14K gold or solid platinum settings, as a rule, use the highest gem-quality man made gemstones that replicate mined diamonds.

PRICING: Low grade stones are sold in bulk to costume jewelry makers and are often glued on electroplated settings. This jewelry is fine for children, where loss risk is high, and usually retails for less than $15 per item. You will find medium grade stones primarily in sterling silver jewelry that sells for under $100 per item, settings and stones. Medium grade simulated diamonds can be distinguished by the naked eye as not being mined diamonds. High grade gemstone quality lab-created diamonds, undistinguishable by the naked eye from mined diamonds, are found mounted on settings of solid 14K gold and platinum. This is considered to be fine jewelry, with the best quality gemstones selling for under $100 per carat for the gemstones alone. Manufactured diamonds that sell for over $100 a carat are not higher quality than those that sell for between $80 and $100 per carat.

RECOMMENDATIONS: If you are buying for someone that is likely to lose the jewelry, there is no reason to spend any more than you have to, and Wal-Mart will do just fine. On the clearance rack you can even pick up some jewelry for less than $5 per item. If you buy simulated diamonds set in sterling silver, expect decent stones, but they will fool few into thinking they are mined diamonds. Also, your fingers are likely to turn green or black in response to a chemical reaction, not with the silver per se, but with the nickel/copper alloys in sterling silver. With any plated settings, gemstones are low to medium grade, and the plating will eventually chip off, particularly around the edges. When that happens, the nickel/copper alloys will be exposed, the setting will look like it came out of a gum ball machine, and your finger will generally turn green or black. It is just a matter of common sense, if you want simulated diamonds with mined-diamond qualities, they must be set in 14K solid gold. Jewelers who offer lab-created diamonds are not going spend on money on gold and not mount the highest quality stones, which would defeat the purpose of creating fine diamond-like jewelry and alienate customers.

A Wedding That Works For Every Season

March 4th, 2009

In ancient times many a future bride and groom would consult the Tarot cards to see which month the stars said was perfect for their wedding. When the sun or moon sign were inline with Venus who us the Goddess of love, it was believed to be the perfect time to wed.

Although some may still consult the tarot cards, most couples decide together which season is for them. Each season has its own flavor and style for a wedding. Which season you choose will not only affect the flavor of your wedding it will affect your pocket book as well.

Different seasons have different costs for reception areas, rentals, the location, and even your honeymoon destination. So when choosing your season be aware of this.

Spring and summer weddings offer you the freshness of a new season with mother nature looking her very best. Early season wedding can enjoy Narcissus hybrids, daffodils, tulips, and hyacinth. While summer offers more abundance with a wonderful mix of color and shape. Flowers such as roses, tady’s mantle, Crysanthermums, goldenrod, alliums, peonies, phox, sweet William, sweet peas, and sunflowers are readily available. You’ll have no trouble find flowers in season that will look gorgeous! This really helps keep the florist cost down as well.

You can use driftwood or fern to on your tables to soften the bold colors of your flowers. You can even add some in season fruits such as peaches, cherries, or citrus fruits.

One of the most popular attractions these days is a chocolate fountain fondu. In fact it is being used all seasons. The deep rich chocolate flows from top to bottom on the fountain while delicious strawberries circle the base for dipping. Mmm good! Champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries is also another popular choice for spring and summer weddings.

Spring and summer weddings offer more options for location and reception. An outside wedding and reception can be a lot cheaper. A beach wedding with a BBQ style reception is very affordable and growing in popularity.

Destinations for your honeymoon can save you a pile of money if you choose places that in their off season. Mind you the temperatures will be extremely hot during these months. If you can take the heat there are some great buys!

As autumn approaches the colors turn to rich gold and copper hues. An autumn wedding can very easily look rich, warm, and inviting accenting the already existing autumn colors. Use the beautiful shades of purples, yellows, and russets to add rich earthy tones to your wedding. You can use natural foliage such as fern or ivy to accent your flowers. Choosing flowers in season will save you plenty!

In your menu be sure to use fruits that are in season such as apples and pears. Keep your menu down to earth and fitting with the season. Use colors on your tables that work with the autumn season.

Autumn is actually a very popular choice for weddings. More than you might think, so be sure to book your reception area and ceremony spot early.

When planning a vacation you will need to shop around and see what you can find at a reasonable price. This time of year is a popular travel time for adults that have no children and enjoy the peace and quiet that returns when the kids are back in school.

When we think of winter we tend to think of cold but winter is actually the most romantic time of year to get married. Burning logs in the fires, sipping wine, and the beautiful crisp whiteness surrounding. Of course you will have to have your wedding indoors in the winter.

Take advantage of the season and adorn your reception area in holly, berries, ivy, candles, and other Christmas like festivities. Include some white geisha, snowdrops, and amaryllis in your flowers. Add some apricots, dates, and other winter fruits to your tables.

Right after Christmas you can save allot on reception areas. Many hotels have a dramatic decrease in prices right after the busy season. New Years Eve weddings are becoming quite popular as they are such a festive and fun time already. Hotels and reception space can be a bit expensive for a New Years Eve gathering but if you are having your reception at a home it’s a great idea.

You have many options for winter honeymoon getaways. You can head to the mountains for a ski trip, head to warmer air like the Carribean or Hawaii, or take an exotic trip to Asia. Be warned flights through the month of December are very pricey but during January there are some good deals to be found.

What ever season you are planning to have your wedding the most important thing to remember is not to stress! Your wedding day will be perfect in every way. What’s really important is that friends and family are present to help you celebrate your union with your loved one!

Some of the Best French Ski Resorts for Luxury Self Catering Chalets

March 3rd, 2009

Whilst researching a ski vacation the choice of snowboarding resort is somewhat worrying. In particular when trying to find a French alpine resort suited to self catering ski holidays. Fortunately for you I’ve compiled a top 10 of the best French ski towns most suitable for self catered ski holidays:Les Menuires, Savoie, Tignes-les-Br©vires, La Tania, Superbagnres, Les Houches, La Plagne, La Chavanette, Superbagnres, Val-d’Isre. Chris Bedell from France is a Developer, Automatic, I asked him about his preferred French skiing resort. Unsurprisingly he plumped for Arches-la-Frasse a snowboarding field infamous for its choice of luxury self catering chalets.

Why do you pick self catering skiing holidays over the traditional choice of a b&b?

Personally I relish the flexibility which self catering chalets provide. The luxury chalet is nearly always exceptional and in place of the unexciting food in hostel I can prepare a delicious dinner.

What happens if you’re not a very good cook?

No problem you simply go to a excellent restaurant.

That’s interesting do you have some good recommendations for us?

Without doubt it’s Cannatella Cafe managed by KENLEY and it’s best meat sauce for spaghetti is outstanding.

Therefore if you’re considering late ski deals then why not look at one of French ski area on alpine our list.

Six Steps To Planning A Hawaii Beach Wedding From Afar

March 2nd, 2009

There’s much to do when you’re planning a wedding in Hawaii. But as with any destination wedding, a special wrinkle is that you’ll need to take care of many details from far away. And perhaps you’ve never been to Hawaii before. All this can pile some frustration onto your planning, but in the end, there are few places in the world that can compare to the Garden Isle of Kauai, Magic Island off Waikiki, or Oahu’s Paradise Cove, just to name a few of Hawaii’s many jewels.

Here’s a quick checklist of things to do and remember when planning a wedding in Hawaii:

1) First, find a location. This is the fun part. Pour over coffee table travel books at the bookstore — try the “From the Skies of Paradise” series, for example. Eventually you’ll settle on an island.

2) Next, you have a second decision to make: should you go with a resort, a wedding planner, or do it all yourself? For most brides, the best bet is to choose a resort package, or book a local wedding planner that specializes in destination weddings.

An on-site planner should help you pull together every aspect of your wedding. They’ll recommend vendors, let you know whether that hotel really looks as beautiful as it does in the brochure, and help you work out murky but important details, such as how to seat your guests at the beach, or how transport your guests from the hotel to the ceremony site. An experienced local planner can make a huge difference, but you’ll want to research her carefully before choosing one. The last thing you want is to hire someone who “goes dark” on you.

It’s impossible to tell from a web site or a photo whether a planner is responsive and professional. The best way to find a great one is to visit destination wedding boards and ask newlyweds for their recommendations.

3) Next, you’ll want to consider your budget. Can you pay for close family and friends to attend your destination wedding, or will they need to pay their own way? If the budget’s tight, one option is to have a very small wedding on the island and throw a larger reception later, at home.

You’ll also need to look at the other aspects of the budget, and consider the fundamental costs of things like ceremony locale, reception locale, lodging, catering, your cake and flowers, and any other services involved in your wedding. For very constrained budgets, a small resort package might be both cheapest and most stress-free choice. If you have more wiggle room, a good wedding planner will help you make the most of your money.

4) Another important item on your checklist is the marriage license. Fortunately, Hawaii makes this easy. You’ll only need to arrive a few days in advance, and the only major requirement is that both the bride and groom appear in person. Hawaii doesn’t have a waiting period or require a blood test, but you’ll need enough time to apply in person on a weekday before the wedding.

5) You’ll also need to research lodging and airfare for your entire party. That means you’ll need to manage a pleasant location that offers a fair price for not only for the bridal couple, but for guests as well. Be sure that your planner or other former brides give the thumbs-up to your lodging before you book it.

Airline tickets are another major cost, especially if you’re footing the bill for friends and family. You can buy tickets up to 11 months in advance, and the sooner you buy them, the cheaper they are. With airfare on this scale, try to take advantage of other money-saving tactics such as flying in on a weekday and staying over on a Saturday night.

6) Finally, don’t forget that the whole charm of a destination wedding lies in not having to obsess over details. Be sure to research a great wedding planner, but after that, be willing to roll with the punches and take what comes. With a destination wedding, you can often actually relax enough to enjoy and remember your day, which isn’t always true with more elaborate productions.

From choosing your favorite Hawaiian island to picking out foot jewelry or beach-style invitations, there’s plenty to do when it comes to planning a wedding in Hawaii. While a destination wedding is much like any other, they tend to feel more complex simply because of the huge distance involved. The good news is that you can easily get it all done, especially when you choose a resort package, or hire an experienced local wedding planner who can be your eyes and ears and guide you through the requirements and on-site issues.
