Finding The Best Cruise Deals Doesn’t Need Luck, Only Timing

March 23rd, 2010

When searching for the best cruise deals, many of us believe that luck is the key to finding the cruise deals of the century! Well that’s not necessarily true, and we want to show you how to find a cruise deal that will have you traveling on the seas with class!

If you’re interested in taking a cruise, whether it be to the Caribbean, Mayan Riviera, Hawaii, or Europe, one thing to keep in mind is that many cruises are based on seasonality for each select destination, so timing in your vacation is the key.

If you happen to have a flexible vacation schedule, and would like to save considerable amounts of money on your next cruise vacation, then consider traveling on what is called shoulder season, or off-season. This is where demand for cruises is lower than peak times, and in most cases your costs are drastically reduced for vacationing during this time of year!

Top cruise line companies operate in the same capacity as a luxury hotel. It’s all about supply and demand, and when staterooms are not filling up, they take action to fill these cabins, and in most cases in a form of a cabin discount.

Sail An Inaugural Cruise! Be The First To Experience Luxury At A Discount

Depending on what your budget may be for a cruise vacation, many vessels such as Princess, Radisson, Norwegian, Cunard, and so many more ships are expanding their fleet to keep up with the demand of cruisers. however, just like any company introducing their product to the market, a cruise ship is no different. They offer incredible discounted pricing for their inaugural cruises, because they want to introduce their new fleets to the market, and they will rely on your word of mouth to spread the news on how great your vacation was on the select ship you were sailing.

For Cruise Lines, this form of advertising is more valuable and cost effective than mass advertising in the media. The discount is more of a promotional savings that they hope will pay off in the long run, and in most cases it does pay off with great success. This is why they encourage these low discounts during an inaugural cruise launch.

Other cruise companies that take part in these promotions are Celebrity, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean, and you can take advantage of great deals to hot destinations such as the Bahamas, Panama, as well as International cruises to the Mediterranean.

Repositioning Cruises Take You From Point A To Be In Style And Class!

If you have never heard of a repositioning cruise before, then you’re in for a treat! Many people take advantage of the deep savings offered for this type of cruise, and why not, it’s the best way to get from point A to point B in unbelievable Style and Class.

Cruise destinations are broken down into geographic areas during the select seasons, and even though most of these destinations may operate cruises throughout the year, many of the itineraries during the busiest time of year need to fill the needs by sending more ships to that area. So as the Caribbean slows down for vacationers in late spring and summer, the European cruises are starting to increase during their peak season, and ships from the Caribbean are sent to European and Mediterranean ports to meet this seasonal demand.

What this means for you, is that these cruise lines would rather charge an incredibly low price to fill these ships as they travel across the international waters, than to leave them empty. They have to pay staff anyway, so why not have them take care of you in luxury and style while taking in a full cruising experience!

Last Minute Cruise Specials Are Easy To Find Online!

At one point trying to get a last minute cruise vacation deal was like winning a lottery. You would read the Saturday morning paper, and see your local vacation agency advertising incredible last minute deals to exotic ports of call, and as you can picture yourself already there, you have one problem. There are more than likely a thousand others that are dreaming the same dream as you.

You try and call this agency without success, as you’re on hold for what feels like hours! Finally you get through to get the disappointing news that there were only 4 cabins available at that price and they were just sold. Now I don’t know about you, but I believe that booking your relaxing vacation should be a fun experience, not a stressful one.

The best way to overcome this frustrating experience is to plan your last minute cruise vacation, and I know what you’re thinking right now! You are probably wondering how you can plan a last minute cruising holiday, and we say it’s easy when you have a computer and the Internet.

Since the Internet, relying on those ads in your paper were one of a few options, but with access to online Cruise Companies that provide sophisticated technology in selling cruise packages, they become one of the best sources for last minute cruise deals and specials.

With many online travel suppliers offering special search tools, last minute email alerts, and last minute auction capabilities, they open opportunities in achieving your last minute cruise with very little effort, and practically stress free. Imagine an email alert telling you that your last minute vacation is waiting for you to book right now with a few clicks, what a concept!

Voice Over Training

Finding the right voice over training that enables you to get into a career in voiceover acting is better than ever. Voice over training is crucial to the entertainment industry in many aspects, either for translating into different languages, TV and radio commercials, or dubbing audio in movies or television shows. Voice over training could range to employment as vocal talent for animated characters in films or on television, as well as possible public speaking functions. Even audiobooks need vocal professional supplied with voiceover training. Heedless of the direction you choose to go in, once you get into the entertainment field you can choose your path. Professional voiceover training and vocal coaching can help get your foot in the door.

The next thing that you might want to consider in voice over training is taking acting classes. Vocal training is about acquiring a job and making it credible, even if that job is just reciting about a new restaurant that has opened. You will need to show enthusiasm through your voice, and the way to do that is to learn to act. The voiceover acting class does not have to be solely for stage production. It should encompass the basics regarding how to play a particular role. If your main interest lies in front of the camera, you can apply voice over training and vocal acting as a stepping stone to working on camera. Although there are some who wish to work in the TV field, without the required voiceover training and certification, you will not have be able to view casting calls and it is unlikely to make it very far in the voice over business.

The Objectives of MS Registry Cleaners

February 1st, 2010

A registry cleaner is a piece of software designed for the operating systems from Microsoft. Its main purpose is to erase duplicate entries or any unwanted entries from the Windows Registry.

Nevertheless, some security experts hold completely different opinion on the usefulness of registry cleaners and have discarded their benefits to remove redundant or unwanted items.

The issue becomes even grimmer in light of the fact that scareware and malware are usually linked with such utilities.

Registry Cleaners refer to a piece of software that tries to make Windows Registry free of configuration data which is of no use or is redundant on the computer that will improve the performance of a slow PC.

Types of data that falls in this category comprise information that partially uninstalled software has left behind, setting needed for malware operation, or useless information.

A Registry Cleaner scans the Windows Registry to detect unnecessary values so that they could be repaired or deposed.

Benefits:

The Registry Cleaner software deletes all the redundant information from Windows Registry and improves the performance of computer.

It is not just sheer size and complex structure of Registry database that make manual cleaning of debris and invalid entries difficult but also missing files references and broken links make the task almost unfeasible. However, Registry Cleaner Software is competent enough to perform the cleaning process automatically and flawless.

Computer users could avail many benefits of invalid Registry key correction.

Register Cleaners perform efficiently in a large working area. It continues to work till an application transform into the .NET Framework platform because this Framework does not depend on Registry for application settings.

Computer users can now access to advanced Registry Cleaners that inculcate restore and backup facilities to allow users to revert undesired modifications.

Registry cleaners may prove beneficial for a person who often adds or deletes programs from his/her PC; although, a virtual machine is learnt to be a more quick and trustworthy means to switch back an operating system to an earlier reputed state under testing conditions.

Nevertheless, some security experts hold completely different opinion on the usefulness of registry cleaners and have discarded their benefits to remove redundant or unwanted items.

True Blood

September 30th, 2009

True Blood is an American television drama series based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris. This show truly shows how vampires should be. Violent, sexy & seductive, not like other vampire shows/movies/books where all these traits are held back. Also, the sub-plots are very interesting and they truly make the story more suspenseful, interesting and at the end of each episode, leaving you wanting more.

First season concerns the murders of women connected to Sookie’s (a waitress who can read peoples thoughts) brother, Jason (Ryan Kwanten). The first season also focuses on Sookie’s relationship with Bill (a vampire). Bill explains the rules of being a vampire to Sookie and, after he finds himself killing a vampire to defend Sookie, he is forced to turn a young girl, Jessica, as punishment. True Blood also won Satellite Awards in the month of 2008; the Award was given to Nelsan Ellis as a best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Anna Paquin won a Satellite Awards for the Best Actress in a Series, Drama (True Blood).

With so much emphasis on reality shows in today’s world of television, it is refreshing to see a completely original series back on the air. True Blood brings intrigue, mystery, thrills and chills to the small screen. The film “Twilight” as well as the accompanying book series has become a huge and widespread success, making vampires cool all of a sudden. True Blood has cool vampires for adults this time around. When you type in “how to become” in google, “how to become a vampire” is second in the list of suggested searches. This shows how popular the vampire culture has become as a result of the tv show True Blood and the movie Twilight.

AUV Solar Powered to Monitor Lake Ponchartrain

March 11th, 2009

As the highly polluted water is drained from the City of New Orleans back into Lake Ponchartrain, it will have to be monitored. In the last few years leading up to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster the Lake had actually been making a strong comeback and had been considered clean enough to fish in or use as drinking water for the neighboring cities with only a little extra filtering. All that has changed now after the many chemical spills, oil spills and human waste in the water that is now known as the Soup Bowl of New Orleans. It will take many years to get Lake Pontchartrain back in order again to the level it was just prior to the devastation from Katrina.

A new AUV Autonomous Underwater Vehicle research program at the Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute Research Facility is completely solar powered.

http://www.ausi.org/research/SAUV1.jpg

A group of these AUVs could work in a grid pattern constantly sampling the water and letting Environmental Monitoring engineers know where to put remediation chemicals in order to clean the lake. A recent research project called the RiverNet Project on Lake George, NY seems to hold the ticket to make this all possible. The Solar powered AUV will be able to detect any and all chemical or biological negative trends from the returned and now polluted lake water, which can assist in the management and careful timely improvement of the water quality. This S-AUV is also scheduled to assist in the remediation of the Hudson Bay with 3D sensor monitoring capabilities.

We need to use these modern technologies and research to help us contain the environmental eco-disaster component in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to protect the local and regional water quality for the protection of humans and the surrounding life. Think on this.

Future of Robotic Vessel Hull Cleaning

December 14th, 2008

Boat cleaning is tough, especially the hull. When inventors help entrepreneurs to find better technologies and robotic systems to clean hulls of vessels the fist thing they ask is: “How big are the Vessels you intend to clean?” Generally boat cleaners are looking for a robotic type unit, which cleans without the use of people or a unit which requires no one to be underwater cleaning and to clean these boats in the water.

There are several ways to do this and this may include robotic underwater UUVs (underwater unmanned vehicles). There are a couple of companies in Florida using some MIT equipment cleaning large ships. Also a former Stanford Student who is getting contracts for cargo ship and cruise ship industry currently in LA.

If you are taking about small vessels, then there are several units and you
will still need a platform to work from and some areas the EPA will be upset
because removing some of that old crud will cause issues with oxygen levels
and thus it also becomes a fish and games issue. Using rollers on a system underwater and bringing the boats to the system is another way to do it.

Many do not use these in-place systems and apparently those Marina’s who do
have problems with sizes and shapes of the various different types of boat
hulls. For instance a sail boat, tri hull, catamaran, etc. This limits your
market base.

Additionally a harbor in CA, WA, OR, MA, VA, MD, FL would never let you put one of these roller systems in, and even if you got permission, it would be shut down by the first environmentalist who came by claiming you are removing oxygen from the water when you take algae and debris off the boat hull. These environmentalists are dogs, they are
completely out of control.

There is a Marine Catalog and Boating Magazine, which has them for sale and you can see pictures of them. Most operators of marinas will not buy one, due to environmental issues. The best roller type units adjust for each size of vessel and scrub like a rollover robotic car wash. Here is a designer of such a system in the UK.

http://www.initialcleaning.co.uk/ws/index.html

Here is some older information for cleaning bigger vessels.

http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/0000001e.htm

http://www.parthe.net/_cwg1003/00000063.htm

Some of this is old information and personal research, but a good place to start when looking for a system to clean ships or boat hulls. Good luck cleaning those boats.

10 Reasons to do a Basic Boating Course!

December 6th, 2008

Boating is a great adventure on any type of boat and is being enjoyed by many on a daily basis, but with that comes a great responsibility. It is not mandatory to do a boating course at this time but there are some very good reasons to get your self informed about the rules of the road.

1) You will learn about safety equipment and what you are required to have on your boat before you undertake any boating excursion. This is very important because what you don’t have with you could make the difference between being able to handle a situation or not. Also, that outing for the day could cost you if the sheriff stops you to spot check your boat and fines you for not having all the safety equipment required for your specific boat.

2) You will learn that driving a boat is vastly different from driving a car. You are dealing with air and water currents. If you have never docked a boat you may think that it is easy, until that is, the current is pulling you in the opposite direction that you want to go. Understanding air and water currents will help you learn how to dock your boat.

3) Knowing how to work with lines and tying knots is part of boating. You have to be able to secure a boat properly. If your boat gets away, it is amazing how quickly the current will take it out of your reach and you will probably require the assistance of another boater to help you get to it. So learn your knots.

4) You will learn what the channel markers mean. We learned the hard way the first time we went out on a boat and ran aground outside the markers. We also had no clue what the red and green markers meant on the poles. This you also learn on the course.

5) There are speed limits on certain water ways but unlike the roads, they may or may not be posted. Ignorance may not be enough to get you out of a ticket.

6) Using charts for coastal navigation can be a life saver. It’s your road map that helps you stay away from the shallows and shows where all the markers and bridges are, and by using measurements you can calculate the distance and time it will take to get somewhere. It can be valuable tool for navigation.

7) Just like on the roads, there is the right of way. On a boating course you will learn who has the right of way and why.

8) Every boat should have a horn. You may hear one long toot or 2 short toot and so on, and you’ll learn what they mean.

9) There are boating regulations and laws that must be followed by all boaters, for example, (and I have seen this rule broken so many times) you are not allowed to sit on the bow of the boat with your feet hanging over board. There are many more regulations to learn and not knowing them can cost you.

10) Anchoring a boat is not just a matter of plopping it down to the sand. There is a mathematical technique applied to anchoring that has to do with the size and length of your boat. Knowing how to do this correctly will give you that extra insurance of knowing your boat is going nowhere until you want to move it.

There are many ways to enjoy pleasure boating, such as the fast pace of ski boating or the slow pace of a trawler, kayaking or canoeing. In whatever way you want to do it, it is a good idea to know the rules of the road. Then you can avoid potential situations and get on with the fun of being out there with all that sky, sun, water, family and friends.

Enjoy!
